ACCESS IS MORE THAN ENTRY. IT’S THE FREEDOM TO EXPERIENCE.
TRAILS FOR ALL
Trails for All is an initiative led by The Axis Project to expand access to trails, adaptive cycling, and outdoor recreation for people with disabilities.
The campaign brings together disabled people, advocates, adaptive equipment innovators, parks, and community partners to experience what’s possible, identify barriers to access, and continue the conversation about how our trails and outdoor spaces can become more inclusive.
WHERE IT STARTED
The first Trails for All activation was presented by The Axis Project in collaboration with the Kelly Brush Foundation, bringing our community together for a day of adaptive cycling, exploration, and connection on the trails.
With equipment support from Bowhead Design and Bike-On, participants could try different adaptive cycles and navigate natural terrain firsthand. The experience became more than a single day—it helped launch an ongoing conversation about trail access, adaptive recreation, and what needs to change to create more opportunities for disabled people outdoors.
Limitless Laughs Productions captured the stories and testimonials featured here during that inaugural activation.
Trails for All continues as an Axis-led effort to build on that momentum—bringing people and organizations into the conversation, exploring new partnerships, and advocating for greater access to outdoor recreation.
